Few things annoy me more than when you buy a legitimate, genuine, DVD and are then forced to watch a minute of anti-piracy messages before you watch it. DVD players should at least be enabled to skip these annoying messages - I have one DVD with a series of short episodes and everytime you want to change episode you're forced to watch the message again. It's almost worth buying a pirate so you don't have to watch them! over 2 years ago via web

I could not agree more! The people who already comply with the law are not the ones at whom such messages should be aimed. over 2 years ago via web

Most mornings I wake up in a good mood, but the manners of other people on the tube often mean I arrive at work in a bad mood. People jumping on carriages before you've had a chance to get off, people barging on in front of you to get a seat, people blocking every entrance to the platform chatting oblivious to the queue to use the empty space in front of them, people walking down the wrong tunnels or on the wrong side ... the list is endless. over 2 years ago via web

Totally agree. One of the things that partcularly annoys me is people not letting you off the train first or standing on the platform so close to the doors you are met with an impenatrable wall of people when the doors open. I have also had this happen to me on busy overground trains in London. I always wait for people to get off the tube before I get on but not everyone will do this so you might be politely waiting while everyone else is rushing on to get a seat & when you do get on you are left standing, effectively penalised for being courteous! over 2 years ago via web

It's no wonder their volumes are falling when it's such a nightmare to post anything. Why they can't install a few electronic machines for simple postage enquiries I cannot think over 2 years ago via web

Ask the previous driver for a "transfer ticket" before you get off - they should print one free and you can use it on the next bus. This always works for me. Makes life cheaper even if no less annoying having to wait in the rain ... over 2 years ago via web

Why don't they give them automatically rather than kick you off the bus without one? over 2 years ago via web

It's just an unfortunate fact of life, unless we want to spend a colossal amount of public funds putting in extra tracks which will lie unused for most of the week over 2 years ago via web

If it's a regular problem, call and complain. It worked for me after two calls no more problems. over 2 years ago via web

Well until today that is when it all fell apart again after two months of slow, but at least accurate, deliveries. I'm going to see whether, in future, the Royal Mail will pick up any items they mis-deliver to me rather than expect me to deliver them on their behalf. over 2 years ago via web

Thanks for the tip! We actually got an addressed envelope the other day - and inside was a flyer for a pub. What a waste of paper! over 2 years ago via web
