Once again, baffled by how utterly abysmal the Virgin Trains website is. 4 months ago via twitter

i find it ridiculous that you can't login to natwest online banking #nwolb using #Chrome. I had to open #IE *shivers* about 1 year ago via twitter

Why most websites are terrible...from an RFP: "User experience is critical...user interviews / testing unavailable for this project." over 1 year ago via twitter

Have you tried using the website? It crashes. It hangs. And trying to call to get the issue sorted puts you in an interminable queue where there's noone with much interest in the website problems. I'm sure it's not me. I know how to use websites. Most don't have the problems they do. over 2 years ago via web

npower website is pointless. My login doesn't work, request password doesn't work. The site insists on an alphanumeric password which only serves to confuse consumers. Does anyone at Npower care? over 2 years ago via web

If npower was the only bad website, it wouldn't be so bad but there are so many that get the basics wrong and we all suffer in silence. over 2 years ago via web

bt.com offer paperless billing which is wonderful, environment friendly and saves everyone money but it only comes with a six month archive. To get earlier bills the first call centre I spoke to advised me to cancel paperless billing and pay £4.60 for each archive copy. A second BT call centre says they will post them to me and that they should arrive within a week. What a ridiculous company.

When trying to reply to a comment on youtube, the "Reply" and "Remove" links are too close together, and look too similar.

Worse, the "Remove" link does not warn you that it's about to remove a comment forever with no undo.

Bad for poor dyslexic people like me who don't read anymore than we have to. We just see "word beginning with R, of approximately the right length". I'm even having trouble getting the words right as i write this!

Usability advice: style the "Remove" links differently (ideally in red) and either provide an easy undo option, or put up an "are you sure?" confirmation message.

I am pleased to say, youtube has slightly fixed this now. The remove/reply links are further apart and they now use icons so that they don't look so similar. Unfortunately there is still no confirmation about removing permanently a comment. translation missing: root.datetime.distance_in_words.almost_x_years ago via web

A missing person’s report was issued by police this morning after a Croydon man disappeared from Facebook...

...Blackley was last seen on Facebook chat at around 3.30am on Monday, when he reportedly threatened to try and delete his account. He told a friend: “fuck it, I can’t be arsed. Everyone’s Halloween photos are shit and now it keeps asking me to ‘reconnect’ with me ex-girlfriend. Google Wave is meant to be better anyway. I just don’t think I can hear about Farmville any more - I can’t take it.”
