@jchui The next best thing to traveling is reading about/planning it! The sites re: airplane food & best seats are great, too. 6 days ago via twitter

I also once had the unfortunate experience of trying to eat a piece of bread given to me on a Lufthansa flight which was denser than lead and probably could have been used as a substitute for reinforced concrete. But that was a few years ago so they might have improved their on-flight food by now. over 2 years ago via web

I have to say I have not flown very often but the food on Singapore Airlines was very good. Completely exceeded all expectations and was a nice combination of oriental and western influenced dishes. My only issue is that it is really hard to eat noodles with a polastic knife and fork. Chopsticks as an alternative would be much more effective & I would be very surprised if anyone found a way of hijacking a place with one. over 2 years ago via web

On EasyJet and RyanAir the majority of the food is of a very low quality, however, I have found that the cup-a-soups are great. Admittedly they are not very filling but they should tide you over on a short flight. over 2 years ago via web

Thanks Tom, alas Cup-a-soup make me lose the will to live. Is the food really as bad as that? its so long since we've used Nazi-Jet and LyingAir that we must have forgotten. Just as well. over 2 years ago via web

...or rather the fact that easyjet charge you for it! We had no idea and hadn't come prepared, our children were hungry and therefore we spent £17 on a very small and pretty awful breakfast.

At least make it obvious on the ground you don't have free food on the plane, so we can plan ahead! over 2 years ago via web
