Just being bullied by Foxtons now. I'm leaving the apartment - which I rented for almost 2 years, paid directly on card to avoid any delays - and they want now to come anytime for viewings. They want to arrange a viewing for Friday night, and as I say it's not convenient - oh wow, why it's not convenient on a Friday night - the manager from Canary Wharf branch, Dominick calls to bully. After saying he won't let me talk, he says I'm rude for talking over him and he doesn't know how 'you people talk in your country' - very professional of him, to which I hang up. Then he lets a voice mail saying it's rude to hang up - because he is such a gentleman - they will come anyway, and that my apartment is messy and looks like an students apartment. I filled a complaint, but you just know they probably won't do anything about it. Bullies, after they get your money, you never heard from them again until they have something to charge you with... over 1 year ago via web
Hello Sulamita... there's plenty of others who get annoyed by Foxtons. I set Quiet Riots up and am trying to figure out what we can do about it. What would you do? over 1 year ago via web

Hi
I read some people talking about complaining to Watchdog from BBC, or Mary Porter on channel 4. There is The Property Ombudsman at http://www.tpos.co.uk/make_complaint_rents.htm . But I don't know exactly how to do deal with it. They get away because it's all sort of small stuff that most people can't really afford to fight for. For instance, I'm moving to Germany, so I can't really spend too much energy on that, I just don't have the time. I would support any initiative, but I'm not sure what to do or if makes any difference.
I made a complain and they called me back, the manager in the area will call me tomorrow. I will tell him about many online complains I read, and how bad that is for business. If I ever read these before, I wouldn't have contacted them. Let's see if they care about their image... over 1 year ago via web
